What insurances and payment options do you accept? We accept Medicaid, Medicare, Blue Cross, Anthem, Optum, United, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, and others; please contact us if your insurance is not listed.

What can I expect from the first session? The intake process can feel tedious or overwhelming. There is a lot of paperwork, and the bio-psycho-social assessment asks a lot of personal questions. There's no pressure to "tell all", the first (few) sessions are about building trust in the therapeutic relationship and getting to know you.

Do you offer sliding scale or probono services? Yes. We offer sliding scale options for cash pay clients; and have 2 ongoing probono spots available. If you are uninsured and unable to afford services please ask about these options.

Do you offer virtual or in-home sessions? Yes. We exclusively offer virtual therapy across Colorado; and mobile/in-home sessions in specific counties depending on availability.

Is therapy confidential? Yes. We take confidentiality especially seriously, taking steps to protect your privacy from possible common and uncommon security breeches.

What makes your practice trauma informed? We don’t just treat symptoms. We understand that trauma affects everything; executive function, task management, emotional regulation, behavior, etc. and can make engaging in therapy especially hard. We create a culture and environment where the real world effects of illness are accommodated.

I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t work. How is this different? We hear that a lot. It's a big reason for creating Aces High. Traditional therapy is hard to connect to for many special populations. Our approach is collaborative, adaptive, and grounded in mutual respect.

Do you work with undocumented or mixed-status families? Yes. We provide culturally responsive care and are mindful of the fears, barriers, and traumas that accompany immigration experiences.

Do you work with families involved in the court or child welfare systems? Yes. We have experience navigating legal, DHS, probation, and school based systems, and can participate in multidisciplinary teams or court reporting when needed.
